PROVVISORIO | Exhibition @ Enorme 2024

We were pleased to take part in the 2024 edition of ENORME, the festival of natural wine, presenting PROVVISORIO, an installation exploring the themes of unfinished architecture, impermanence, and the possibility of beauty emerging from suspended places.

The project features a collection of thirteen ceramic vases conceived as fictional homeware for unfinished buildings. Inspired by the widespread presence of incomplete constructions across Southern Italy and the Mediterranean, the installation reflects on landscapes shaped by abandonment, speculation, interrupted public works, and unrealised ambitions.

Each vase addresses a different aspect of the culture of the unfinished, transforming everyday domestic objects into critical narratives about public investment, building amnesties, neglect, clientelism, and other social and political dynamics. Through ceramics, PROVVISORIO reimagines ornament as a gesture capable of restoring dignity to spaces defined by uncertainty and incompletion.

The installation was presented during ENORME 2024, on 23–24 June, at Castello di Gesualdo, Gesualdo (AV), Italy.
