Black stoneware centerpiece

Description

Modern and minimalistic centerpiece made of black stoneware, handmade in limited series by ORTOGONALE.
This centerpiece is the result of artisanal craftsmanship and is entirely handmade. Variations in shape and form between each piece are a result of natural deformations during the drying and firing processes and are not considered production defects but rather a guarantee of authenticity, uniqueness, and sustainability of the product.

Height betwen 10 and 11 cm.
Diameter ranges from 32 cm to 36 cm.

Material: Black stoneware with chamotte.
Production process: Hand-rolled and hand-shaped slab construction.
Firing temperature: 1260°C.

IMPORTANT!
The stoneware used contains a significant percentage of chamotte (a natural ground of hard stoneware shards, crushed into granules, sifted, and re-mixed into the stoneware paste), which not only imparts a distinct rustic and textured appearance to the artifacts but also ensures greater strength and hardness. The surface of this stoneware is therefore rough and textured. Stoneware is a ceramic composition, a clay, non-toxic, and safe for contact with food; however, its rough nature may not be pleasant for use as a plate or eating surface.
