SAPPORO black stoneware plate

Description

Black stoneware plate from the SAPPORO collection that can also be used as a tray, handmade with high quality black stoneware in a limited edition.
This plate is the result of artisanal craftsmanship using the slab technique and is entirely handmade. Variations and slight differences in shape between each piece are due to natural deformations during the forming, drying, and firing processes, and are not considered defects, but rather a guarantee of the product’s authenticity, uniqueness, and sustainability.

Material: black/dark brown stoneware with fine chamotte.
Production process: Hand-rolled and hand-shaped slab forming and molding.
Firing temperature: 1250°C / 2282°F

IMPORTANT!
The plates from the SAPPORO collection are unglazed, showing the pure material, and are treated using the ancient technique of food-grade linseed oil impregnation, which polymerizes and makes the surface stain-resistant. Stoneware is a ceramic body, a natural earth material, non-toxic, and safe for contact with food.
With use, the plates will tend to darken, a natural process that enhances the beauty and longevity of these objects.
